Yonatan Zvik Interview – Creator of Mooniz

Below our interview with Yonatan Zvik, cofounder of Mooniz Interactive and game developer. Mooniz released a game by the same name for iOS.

Can you tell us something about your company?

Mooniz is a new and growing gaming company founded in 2011. Adrenaline Monki is a company that is created by gamers for gamers. With a team comprising professionals in gaming and game design, the customers’ fun is the first priority and that is why the company makes use of advanced technologies to produce top of the line applications always.

These cute but cheeky critters are invading from the moon and you are Earth’s only hope in this simple yet highly addictive action puzzler!

Where did you get the idea for this game?

Got it from playing Bejeweled Blitz.

What can you tell us about the development of this game?

3 co founders(art,developer and marketing/producer), it took us about 5 months-14 hours per day.

What is the most important thing you learned when making this game?

If you want a polished game you should invest 90% efforts in the last 10% of the product development.

What advice would you tell people who are beginning with game development?

Make a research first and don’t forget that each game requires a marketing plan and budget.

Anything else you would like to share with the Game Dev Academy audience?

Don’t be afraid to implement ads if you want to keep a good user expeirence. You still need to make money!
