I'm Karthik, an aspiring indie game developer from India! Currently studying in Australia. I love creating little games and experiences for others to enjoy. It took a long way to get to where I am now, and there's still 99% of the way to go, but I'm extremely passionate about teaching others about what I already know!I've been programming as a hobby for more than 4 years, but have only started taking it up more seriously in the past year and a half. When I had just started out in unity, I was learning at a very slow pace since I was approaching it incorrectly, all I would do was follow tutorials to no end. I've started using Godot less than a year ago, but my growth as a developer with Godot was exponential, since I had just gotten out of 'tutorial hell' right before trying out Godot. I have learnt more in a single year of using Godot than I did in 3+ years of using unity, and all it took was a mindset change.I now have the confidence to write code on my own without always having to rely on a tutorial that has already done what I'm looking for. This has allowed me to bring my own ideas to life, because I can break the problem down and approach it piece by piece.I spend a lot of my spare time helping other developers in the Godot Discord server and writing my own personal notes about common pitfalls that almost all beginners fall into, to share with everyone!
